"... a memoir such as this one is a precious gift."

- Carolyn "Mountain Girl" Garcia from the Foreword

"Rosie was there in the beginning with a smile and a quick trigger finger. She saw the birthing process of the Grateful Dead up close and personal. Now you can see what it looked like."

- Mickey Hart, Grateful Dead drummer, worldly percussionist & author

"I was captivated by Rosie McGee's Grateful Dead photos long before I ever looked up her name in the credits. I studied them - the musicians, the fans, the venues and stage set-ups - as if a strong enough focus could transport me back to those storied early shows. And you know what? They did. Thank you, Rosie."

- Peter Conners, author, "Growing Up Dead: The Hallucinated Confessions of a Teenage Deadhead"
